CEO & FOUNDER of Catsis Womb: Birth Sister Services

My early experiences supporting my sister through pregnancy and childbirth sparked a deep passion within me for assisting others on their birthing journeys. It ignited a fire in my heart, fueling my mission to provide compassionate and comprehensive support to ALL individuals.

From a tender age, I witnessed the incredible power of birth as I walked alongside my sister, offering unwavering support through the highs and lows of pregnancy, birth recovery, and breastfeeding. These formative experiences underscored the profound connection between birth, well-being, and the vital role of community support.

Motivated by an unwavering desire to serve and empower others, I embarked on the path of becoming a doula. In 2021, I completed my first doula training program with Sista Midwife Productions, immersing myself in the art and science of supporting individuals through childbirth. Equipped with evidence-based knowledge, practical skills, and a profound capacity for empathy, I emerged as a devoted advocate for birthing individuals, with a particular focus on marginalized communities.

In a significant leap forward in 2023, I joined The Doula Union Corporation, a place where my commitment to providing inclusive, holistic, and evidence-based support to ALL found its rightful home. Collaborating with like-minded professionals, I have dedicated myself to dismantling systemic barriers and biases that have historically marginalized certain communities in their birthing experiences.

My vision extends far beyond conventional birth practices; it is firmly rooted in delivering trauma-free birth outcomes for marginalized individuals. I understand that achieving this vision requires fostering a sense of agency, respect, and healing for those I have the privilege to serve. With an inclusive approach, I strive to dismantle the barriers that have hindered the birthing experiences of BIPOC and LGBTQ2SIA+ individuals. Every birth I attend becomes an opportunity to create an environment where cultural competence, holistic care, and evidence-based practices converge, paving the way for transformative and empowering birth experiences.
